COLLABORATING FOR THE CONSTRUCTION

Liberdade Group believes that undertaking the social responsibility shows the conscious thought of those want to build a “social technology of facing problems and collectivity. In addition to embrace what we may call “shared citizenship”, where companies do not close around themselves, but open to the construction of a more democratic and less unbalanced, more human and less unfair society.

 

Aware of the diversity of needs that exist in our society, Liberdade Group supports institutions and projects in several sectors, as we may check below:

Amparo Maternal

AMPARO MATERNAL

Since 2008 the Group also supports Amparo Maternal that, founded in 1939, arose with the ideology of sheltering pregnant women that did not have a dignified place to deliver. Now, with 76 years of history, the institution assists pregnant women from all over the country through the Brazilian Unified Health System –SUS.

Instituto Cisne

INSTITUTO CISNE

Liberdade Group, since 2001 has participated and supported the works carried out by Instituto Cisne, a federal non-profitable utility NGO, which since its foundation, in 1986, assists children, youngsters, adults, and elderlies that present disorders related to concentration difficulty, lack of balance, movement coordination, problems of speaking and reading, hyperactivity, slowness in thought and in performing tasks, which conditions lead to a state of limitation of psycho-social-environmental autonomy. Imagem Essencial Produções Culturais

IMAGEM ESSENCIAL PRODUÇÕES CULTURAIS

Theater and audiovisual production company, also supported by Liberdade Group, concerned with developing artistic projects that make the audience think of, such as, for example, the play “Depois daquela viagem”, from a book of same title, which author, who is HIV positive, writes to tell her history and alert the youngsters on the hazards and forms of contracting the disease. Imagem Essencial also promotes child theater plays.

GRAAC

GRAACC

Liberdade Group supports GRAACC - Grupo de Apoio ao Adolescente e à Criança com Câncer (Support Group to Teenagers and Children with Cancer), a non-profitable institution, was created to guarantee to children and teenagers with cancer, within the most advanced scientific standard, the right to reach all cure chances with life quality.

Projeto Mudar

PROJETO MUDAR – MOVIMENTO UNIFICADO DE DEFESA DA CRIANÇA (Unified Movement of Children’s Defense)

Liberdade also supports MUDAR, a philanthropic entity, which arose in 1993 with the purpose of unifying the institutions that took care of children and teenagers in street situation, which as the time went by started to assist elderlies and holders of disability and diseases, such as aids, cancer, and leprosy. The project distributes donations received between the several associated institutions, in addition to maintain the shelters, called “Nossa Família” (Our Family), where children and teenagers take out from the street live, who receive medical, dental, educational assistance, among others. MUDAR also works with the distribution of food, clothes, and hygiene products to people in street situation.

Projeto Mudar

FRATERNIDADE SÃO JOÃO PAULO II

Fraternidade São João Paulo II is a non-profitable religious association, also supported by Liberdade Group, which attempts to carry out social works aiming at the valuation of the human being. Within such perspective, Fraternidade has a Recovery Ranch for addicted youngsters, taken from the streets of the city of São Paulo. Currently, this work is performed with around 28 youngsters, but the institution is funding a small country house, in order to enhance the project, increasing the capacity of reception and structure. It is applicable to highlight that no value is charged to treat such youngsters: “Freely you have received; freely give” (Matthew 10:8).
